After years of battling kidney failure and enduring countless dialysis sessions, our dad, Jerome Kanaeholo of Hilo, Hawai‘i, is finally receiving the incredible gift of a kidney transplant. This moment is a true blessing and a long-awaited second chance at life — one filled with renewed health, energy, and more precious time with his loved ones.
Jerome is a husband, father, papa, and friend to many. He’s the heart of our family — married to Tammy, proud dad to Jazmine, Leilani, and Leimamo, and loving papa to Kingston and Cali (plus two fur-granddogs, Stitch and Marvel!). Through every challenge, his faith, humor, and quiet strength have carried us all.
Now, as Jerome begins this next chapter toward recovery, our family is facing growing expenses that come with his transplant journey — including travel, lodging near the hospital, meals, gas, medications, and lost work time. Even with insurance, the out-of-pocket costs are overwhelming.
We’re reaching out to our friends, family, and community — near and far — for help easing these financial burdens so Jerome can focus on healing. Every donation, share, and prayer means more to us than words can express.
Thank you for surrounding our family with love and support as we help Jerome recover and get back to doing what he loves most — spending time with family, laughing with the grandkids, and enjoying life to the fullest again.
Please donate if you’re able, and share this page to help us spread the word.
With heartfelt gratitude,
The Kanaeholo Family — Tammy, Jazmine, Leilani, Leimamo, Ian, Kingston, Cali, Stitch & Marvel
