Help Support DNA Tech to Find Wilma June Nissen's Killer

Donation protected
UPDATE 5/13/25
As you all know, I'm trying to get the local law enforcement agency to send my moms DNA to be processed by newer standards.
However, the law enforcement agency has their own ideas & has to follow specific rules.
That being said, they aren't ready to let me help.
It may be quite a ways away before they let me.
The way I see it, there are 3 options.

1- I am happy to give a full refund to anyone that has donated, since I have no idea if or when I will be allowed to help!

2- I can keep trying to save enough to hopefully get my moms DNA tested with modern methods.... but I have no idea when that will happen...

3- with your blessings, if needed, I can use some of your donations to advocate for my mom in other ways.
( making sure my vehicle is safe to make those long drives, contacting publications in the Northwest Iowa & Sioux Falls area, as well as the Atlanta area where she was last verified alive....)

I'm also very open to suggestions!!!

Please... if you have any ideas on how to better advocate, I'm listening!

I'm so sorry that things aren't working out as planned!

The last thing I want is for ANYONE to feel like I was dishonest!

PLEASE, Let me know how you would like me to handle your donations!

I'm not giving up!

Opinions, suggestions, etc... are beyond welcome!

My biological mother was excessively violently murdered in Northwest Iowa (Lyon County) in 1978. The law enforcement agency involved has amplified DNA from a few years back. DNA technology has advanced so much in the last few years that I believe it can be lengthened.

I spoke to a wonderful lady who is a scientist specializing in DNA/forensic genetic genealogy. She thinks the amplified DNA in my mom's case can be made more viable, maybe even CODIS viable. But, Season of Justice already featured my mom's case. I need help with funding the DNA technology. There are organizations that offer grants for situations like this, but the sheriff's department has to request it. The previous sheriff's department worked so hard to solve her case! However, as the case ages, the newer sheriffs are younger than her case and seem less inclined to solve it. It is older than them.

Also, the town where she was found is small and rural. It's a lovely town, but I understand that funds are tight. There is no way they can pay for it. I know it's a long shot, but I'm desperate!

PLEASE, if you can help or know of an agency that can help, PLEASE... let me know. My mother's name was Wilma June Nissen. She lived through hell as a child and was murdered at age 23.

If you'd like more information on her case, feel free to contact me! I have it listed here that the money goes to me, but it actually will be going to a company that can help solve her case!

Thank you very much! I am very grateful for any help or suggestions!
