Help support Andrew's fight against Cancer

So, uh, hey folks, I'm Andrew, and I’ve been recently diagnosed with Cancer.

Talking about the situation is still really hard for me even though I've been going through the motions since March, so please forgive me for not going into too much detail about the diagnosis, it’s just me wanting to keep the more private things private. Most of you running across this link and this page know me in a more personal way and know that doing something like this is something that I've fought against from the beginning, I’m not the kind of person to ask for help privately and definitely not publicly so this whole thing is very taboo and uncomfortable for me. With that said, that doesn't diminish in any way how incredibly thankful I am for all the help I've gotten so far and whatever help I receive in the future. What this fund is really for is to help me stay above water while fighting through this. I’ve got a very intense treatment schedule for the next 4 months and because of that I can’t earn my own income so whatever comes out of this will go directly to bills like my car payment, car insurance, phone bill, keeping gas in my car to get back and forth from appointments, and the insane medical bills that will trickle in throughout the entire process. It's impossibly difficult to choose a goal amount because sadly this fight doesn't stop after treatment. I’d like to say that as soon as this is over I’ll have all the job options in the world so I can pick up right where I left off, but the recovery is just as much of a fight as the treatment is. Any and all help will get me back on my feet as soon as possible. As most of you know, I’ve fairly recently moved back to CO, away from family and their immediate support through this. Why didn't you go back home for treatment, you ask? During the long journey of weekly doctor's appointments since the beginning we had to come to the understanding that where I am now is the best place for me to be during this battle to receive the absolute best care that I can get. Again, thank you to everyone who stumbles across this and reads about what is going on and to everyone that helps in anyway they can, I am incredibly grateful for you all.

When someone has cancer, the whole family and everyone who loves them does too.

As his family, it’s so hard to not be there physically to support Andrew through this. We’ve watched Andrew face this challenge with humor and strength, and we know that he has been assigned this mountain to show others that it can be moved. He had a vision of what he wanted his life to look like, but he has been willing to give up the life he had planned, and instead, greet the life that is now waiting for him. And we need all the help we can get to help him get there. Cancer is messy and scary. You throw everything you have at it, but let’s not forget to throw love at it. It turns out that might be the best weapon of all.
