We are reaching out to ask for your support for Shawn Peterson, a beloved member of our community, who is facing immense challenges after being diagnosed with transverse myelitis and the discovery of a cavernoma on his temporal lobe that has left him with mounting bills. So far, he has undergone 7 MRIs of his spine and brain, a spinal tap, and 3 days of intravenous steroid infusions. There are still more appointments and tests to come.

In addition to the overwhelming medical expenses for treatments, testing, and specialist appointments, Shawn recently lost the use of his vehicle due to a failed transmission. Without reliable transportation, getting to his medical appointments and maintaining some semblance of independence has become an even greater hurdle.
