Severus Snape is our moody but sweet 5-month-old Siamese kitten, and he’s become a huge part of our family since we brought him home at just 8 weeks old. He’s full of personality and has a special bond with my 6-year-old autistic daughter—he follows her everywhere, lets her pick him up, and is always gentle, never scratching or hurting her. Severus Snape is more than just a pet; he’s a companion and a source of comfort for our daughter, and we all love him dearly.
Recently, Severus Snape injured his leg, likely from a fall since he’s such a climber. He’s now limping, unable to put weight on his leg, and is on pain medication while we try to keep him comfortable. The vet has told us he needs surgery on his femur to recover and avoid permanent damage. Without this surgery, he’ll continue to be in pain and may not be able to keep his leg. The cost of the surgery, along with follow-up care like physical therapy and vet visits, is overwhelming for our family.
We want nothing more than to help our sweet kitten heal and get back to his playful, loving self. Surgery will relieve his pain, save his leg, and allow him to live a long, happy life with us. Thank you to anyone taking the time to read our story—my family feels truly blessed to have a supportive community and the opportunity to reach out for help.
