Hi everyone! We are headed to Worlds again! If you have helped us in the past, thank you so very much. The students took part in many challenging tournaments during the 2023 VEX Worlds Championship in Dallas, Texas. Although they did not win, they learned so much and applied it to the new season. This year our team is unique because we have members from 3 different schools in Katy ISD: Tompkins HS, Cinco Ranch HS and Katy HS. The team has always started their season early, but this year they started in December. With only 4 matches under their belt, Sushi Warriors qualified for Regionals because of their Skill Score (this showcases a team’s coding and driver performance). The competition pushed Sushi Warriors down in ranking but they were chosen by the 8th seed team. The two quickly advanced to finals where they faced the #1 seed. They came in as a finalist and a qualifier for Worlds. Now we need to raise the funds for the entry fee ($1800). We would appreciate any amount and would love it if you came to cheer us on if you are going to be in Dallas during the Championship!
