Help Scarlett Recover from Emergency Surgery
Donation protected
Aloha, my name is Julie and this sweet girl's name is Scarlett. We've had for seven or eight months and we've noticed she started losing weight and her stomach started getting larger we tried switching foods and it got worse. Sunday we took her to the vet and they said we needed to take her to an emergency vet because all of her organs were inflamed.
When we got to the emergency vet they informed us that she had had some kind of skewer or two and a half inch stick they got stuck in her intestines and pierced her liver. The vet advisors that her organs were all inflamed and she has a horrible infection so she had to have emergency surgery.
They called a doctor in that night and when they went in they took a liter of pus out of her put a drainage tube and she's having a lot of drainage and her organs are still having a tough time. Scarlett is only 2 years old we just got her 7 months ago right before I needed my kidney transplant and I'm still healing from that. She's been a big support to me and for her to go through this is breaking my heart. I have to tell you she's the sweetest dog you'll ever meet everybody loves Scarlett. Today they informed us that she's going to need a blood and transfusion because her red blood cells are getting worse. I cannot lose this dog I just lost a dog less than a year ago after 13 wonderful years.
I am asking to please help us with a medical bills our previous dog we spent a lot of money on the cancer and now we're already at 17,000 and it's just going to go up. If you can please help in any way to help us with this burden this little girl is worth every minute every dime of your time. We love her Scarlet deserves a chance she's just a young pup.
Thank you so much for your time#teamscarlett #thewilltolive.
