A Second Chance for Sage

Sage is Madison’s beloved 7-year-old calico cat, and right now, he needs a second chance.

Just two weeks ago, Sage suffered a life-threatening urinary blockage. Madison rushed him in for emergency treatment, and after an incredibly stressful experience, the blockage was relieved. The veterinary bill was nearly $5,000, but the most important thing was that Sage was going to be okay.

Unfortunately, our hearts sank when Sage became blocked again. This time, he needs an emergency surgery called a perineal urethrostomy (PU) to help prevent these recurring blockages and give him the best chance at a healthy future.

The cost of this surgery is estimated at $10,000, on top of the $5,000 Madison has already spent trying to save him.

For anyone who has ever loved a pet, you know they aren’t just animals. They’re family. They’re there for the quiet moments, the hard days, and all the little things that make a house feel like home. Sage is family to Madison, and the thought of losing him because of the financial burden is heartbreaking.
