Support Seniors: Help JCAN Fund Life-Saving Community Space

The sad truth is that many seniors spend the last years of their lives in isolation. There is a significant shortage of community programs that can meet the cultural needs of seniors, particularly those from the Black community and other underserved populations. Social isolation and loneliness shorten the lifespan of our seniors, and this common problem is preventable. JCAN-Joint Coalition Addressing Needs runs a weekly seniors program that welcomes over 150 seniors weekly. It is incredible seeing the seniors laugh, dance, play the drum, put on performances and enjoy a culturally relevant meal along with wonderful conversations reminiscing about their past. Friends, the demand for this program is far too great for our capacity without ongoing financial support. Sadly, we do not want to turn any seniors away. We are raising funds to purchase a permanent community space. A space that our seniors can call their own. The impact that we are making in the lives of our seniors is OUTSTANDING. Help us connect seniors to culturally appropriate programs. Our seniors need your support now more than ever. Nobody deserves to be alone.
