My sister Samantha and her husband Colton, along with three of their pups, were forced out of their home by a fire, which broke out after midnight on January 1st, 2026. When most of us were wrapping up our New Year’s Eve festivities or falling safely asleep in our beds, they fled their home barefoot, escaping the flames.

Their home stands; however, the attached garage is gone. The ceiling, the walls, and the windows located closest to the garage are destroyed. The water damage is evident. The smoke permeates the air. The mental anguish is unimaginable.
