Hello everyone, my name is Donatella and I am living in Italy.

I set up this fundraiser on behalf of Safaa, a 15 year-old girl currently displaced in Deir el-Balah camp in the central Gaza strip. She reached out to me to tell me about the dire situation she has been living in for the past 10 months alongside her parents and three brothers: when the aggression started they were evacuated to Rafah and since then have experienced multiple forced displacement, constantly under the threat of bombs, not knowing where and how to get food and water and dealing with the physically and emotionally devastating consequences of seeing your loved ones suffer and losing your home and hopes for the future.

As Safaa's family is now living in a tent in Deir el-Balah, they are in urgent need of funds to secure safe food and water and treatment for Safaa's father, who has been suffering from a severe hernia as a result of carrying water for months. They also need to replace their tent that has been severely damaged by airstrikes.

Collected funds will be redirected to Safaa's mother's, Balsam Zaki Abo Hamdah, bank account and proof of transfer will be uploaded.

While we should raise or voice to end the military aggression and free Palestine, let's not forget how countless Palestinians URGENTLY need our help to survive these incredibly harsh times!

At the beginning of the war, we were forcibly displaced to Rafah, and after a while we were threatened, so we were displaced to Khan Yunis, and then we were displaced to Deir al-Balah.. 16/08 update: Today Safaa and her family moved to west Deir Al-Balah as a result of yet another forced evacuation order. The situation is very uncertain as they could be displaced any time.
