My 6-year-old boxer, Rosie, has been diagnosed with a mast cell tumor, which is a form of cancer. This cancer has developed beneath her skin and has broken through, releasing histamine through the wound. Right now, the histamine growth is being managed with Benadryl, but this does not cure or stop the growth—it can still begin spreading internally.
I am currently waiting on her lab results to see if this cancer has affected her kidneys or liver, and most importantly, to confirm that she is clear for surgery. I feel desperate and don’t know what direction to take without financial help. Rosie is still young, and surgery could give her more years of life.
**Update: Lab results came in. Liver amd kidney levels are normal, cancer has not spread internal. There is still time to fight this cancer. Thank you all
Rosie is not “just a dog.” She is family. She is the most loyal, loving, and joyful companion who has filled our lives with unconditional love. Now she needs us more than ever—and we are desperate to give her the chance to keep living the happy, love-filled life she deserves.
This estimate covers the surgery and necessary post-surgery care.
If you cannot give, please consider sharing Rosie’s story so it may reach others who can help.
Your kindness, generosity, and prayers mean the world to us. Together, we can give Rosie the fighting chance she needs.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us in this painful and urgent moment.
With love and gratitude, Rosies family
