Help Reunite Volcker With His Family
Donazione protetta
My name is Esperança. I’ve been living in the U.S. for more than 10 years. My husband and I are here legally under asylum protection. He has a valid work permit, pays taxes, and has never missed an immigration appointment. A month ago, my husband was pulled over and charged with reckless driving. It was a simple mistake. He had no prior tickets or issues, but because of his immigration status, he was detained and taken away without warning. Since then, I’ve been trying to care for everything alone. We have a young autistic son who needs structure and constant support. My husband helped every day with routines, meltdowns, and emotional stability. Without him, life has become much harder. It has affected my job, my mental health, and our daily stability. I didn’t know where my husband was for days. Now that I can speak with him, I send what little I have for food and phone calls. I’ve been told I cannot move forward with immigration help until a criminal attorney resolves the charge. We hired one, but the situation remains unresolved, and I’m now looking for new legal help. This has added even more pressure to an already overwhelming time. I never imagined I’d be in this position, but I’m asking for help to bring my husband home. If you can donate, even a little, it would mean the world. Every dollar will go to legal costs and supporting my family. If you can’t give, your prayers, kind thoughts, or sharing this post would be just as appreciated. Thank you for reading my story. Please help me reunite my family.
