Me and my family of 4 trusted a mechanic with our car and paid him $2,300 for repairs. Instead, he strung us along for over a year, “blew up” our engine, and then claimed our car disappeared. We’ve since learned we’re not the only family he’s done this to, and are now pursuing charges against him. We desperately needed our vehicle for work. That $2,300 wasn’t savings, we worked hard in the hot summer removing poison ivy just to pay for it. Since then, we’ve faced eviction threats, nearly lost electricity, and had to depend on the Mormon church for support. For some, $2,300 may not seem life-changing. For us, it has meant the difference between stability and survival. Please consider a small donation to help get us back on track to stability.
