I'm begging you...

Help Rebuild Lives in Jamaica.

I’m raising funds to support some of the hardest-hit areas in Trelawny, St. Elizabeth, and Westmoreland, Jamaica — starting with St. Elizabeth — communities that are still struggling in the aftermath of devastating floods and damage.

I have a personal connection to each of these parishes — I have family there. Many of your families live there. Many of you have visited there, or sourced authentic product from there. Some of you have basked in the sun or enjoyed a mineral bath there. And right now, many of them, and so many others, need many of us to pitch in, to help. Over 7 days later, and many are still living in heartbreaking conditions. The unfortunate truth? Many will continue to live in heartbreaking conditions for several months to years during restoration. So continued support is necessary. Food and water support is the primary focus today. Tomorrow, is hard surfaced shelter.

Currently, much of the island is being faced with:

• No clean water to drink or cook with

• No access to food for days

• No electricity to stay warm, cool or safe

• No Wi-Fi or communication to reach loved ones

• Homes still filled with mud and debris

• Families without roofs or walls to protect them from the weather

• No Housing, and lost everything

Imagine a child, out there — hungry, cold, confused, disappointed or scared.

What if this was your child, or grandparent, or differently-able, or your relative or your friend?

Some of these children share our bloodline, and all of them share in humanity. Let’s remind them they’re not forgotten — that someone is thinking of them, praying for them, and standing up for them.

I’ll be continuously donating what I can, but I can’t make a dent alone. That’s why I’m asking you to team up with me in conjunction with local nonprofits and supportive communities. Every dollar raised will go directly to a local, vetted, and trustworthy source on the ground who is already providing real help — food, shelter, clean water, clothing, and materials to help rebuild homes and lives.
