Since 1941 the rock wall has stood on US Highway 2 as a barrier between the highway and the Fosston School and City’s Civic Center. It has been more than a barrier, though. It is a landmark and has held many children over the years after school and civic center activities. Many can remember climbing the wall and walking up and down it.

The rock wall is showing its age and becoming un-safe. The cost to repair this historical marker is costly at approximately $25,000 to restore it back to its original quality.
