Help rebuild our home in Gaza
Donation protected
Dear friends
Please help us rebuild our lives and refurnish our family home, where 3 generations of our family live together.
We moved to Gaza as refugees in the 1960s and have lived there ever since, in Jabalia. We love our home dearly. I live with my wife, my son Taim (6) and daughters Tala (3) and Sally (1).
In keeping with tradition, my parents, grandmother, and both of my brothers (with their wives and kids) live in the same building.
Unfortunately, in the current conflict, we have all been displaced. I moved to Rafah, slept on the street for several nights and am now living in a tent with my family. My parents and brothers moved into UN shelters across Gaza. We have no income, little food or water, and limited connectivity to each other or the outside world. The kids in the family are all traumatised by the destruction around us. The kids have all lost friends in the war, but don't know yet. We currently have no income and live day to day on aid and food packages.
Our home has been severely damaged, but thankfully not destroyed. All of our belongings were looted, and the units were burnt. The doors and windows were taken or broken.
We don't want to leave Gaza, we love it here, but we need support to rebuild our lives.
Any contribution provided will help us refurbish the home for our 3 generations (5 families). What remains of my living room is pictured.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
