My grandmother’s home, the heart of our family for over 65 years, was lost in a devastating fire. This house sheltered five generations, and every brick, nail, and drop of paint was placed by our own hands. It was more than just a building—it was a living piece of our heritage, filled with memories, laughter, and love.

Standing with my grandmother in front of our home, still steaming and smoking from the water that quelled the flames, we remembered the good times. The handprints dipped in paint on the bricks, the names carved into the attic crawl space , and the irreplaceable family photos/faces—all lost, now living only in our hearts. We lost more than a house; we lost a part of who we are.

Now, we face the challenge of rebuilding. The funds raised will help my grandmother replace her belongings, cover medical services, and find a new place to call home. She made that house a home, and now we need to help her start again.
