On Thursday, August 21st, Ray and Lori Butler were running the test session at New England Dragway with Ray's Chevy Malibu when an unfortunate accident occurred in the staging lanes. Another driver lost control of their car, spun around and slammed into Ray who was strapped into his car getting ready to make a run. The impact destroyed Ray's car and Lori was struck during the incident. She was rushed to the local ER and sustained significant injuries including 15 broken ribs, lacerated liver and spleen, and several other cuts and bruises. Fortunately, Lori is doing ok, but she has a long road ahead of her.

Anyone that knows Ray and Lori, know what kind and wonderful people they are. They are generous and always willing to help a friend in need. We're raising money to help them with the ever increasing costs of medical care and get them back into the sport we all love so much.
