So many families have been affected by the Eaton Canyon fire that devastated Altadena. My parents, Terry & Rita Pyburn lost their home of 38 years and everything in it.

It’s even more devastating for them because they also planned a mission trip to Honduras at the end of January and purchased many items to donate to the people and children there. Everything was packed and ready to go, including their passports. Unfortunately after several attempts to get their passports replaced, they are unfortunately unable to go anymore.

They have always shown me what it means to be a generous person. While they may not have had monetary abundance, they were always spending time helping others. Whether helping family, friends, volunteering in their church and community, or spreading holiday cheer with their neighbors, they have given me an example I strive to live up to. Anyone who knows them also knows they are not ones to ask for help, so here I am humbly requesting your assistance on their behalf.

Your kindness would mean so much in helping them with unexpected costs and supplement needs not covered by other aid, as well as continuing to support our family through this crisis.
