Help Provide Essential Supplies to Asheville

Hello,

My name is Liz and I am a nursing student and mom of 2 in Astoria, NY. After the storm I called my friends to check in and was aghast to find out the state of affairs in NC this past week. I am raising money to help with the shipping costs of the urgently needed physical supply donations I have been collecting in Astoria and sending to friends in Chapel Hill who will drive it directly into Asheville. I am so appreciative of all the donations to ship to those hid hardest by the floods of Hurricane Helene. I have sent 10 large packages so far with another similar shipment going out Tuesday. I have been sterilizing baby bottles and washing donated clothes, packing everything carefully to maintain the integrity of ready-to-use. Asheville has no running water and likely will not for over a month. They are desperate for supplies: food, medicine, clothes, hygiene products. The entire state of North Caroline is baron from everyone buying what’s on the shelves and sending it to washed away Asheville and other mountain creek towns. I do not want to slow down my shipments! People are still donating to me and I have time to prepare and ship these packages… but as a student and mother of two, my budget is tapped! This GoFundMe is to help me recoup some of the shipping and packaging fees and provide for some more packages this week, I will ship as long as I have money and donations!!
