Help Prabha for medical expense & family support

Deepika and Prabhakaran, in their 20's, started life full of dreams, believing in togetherness for births to come. When they arrived in Chicago a few years ago, the future looked bright and exciting. They welcomed their baby girl four years ago, making a picture-perfect family and resolved to provide the best to their child and extended family.

 

A routine health check shook this fun-loving and adventurous family’s world upside down. This doting 32-year-old mom, full of hope and love for her family, was diagnosed with Ewing’s sarcoma, a rare cancerous tumor in and around the bones. She started her uphill battle with tons of hope: one that was long and filled with numerous chemos, surgeries, radiations and hospitalizations for 18 months. It had a devastating impact on this young family physically, emotionally, and financially.

 

Despite her immense fight, Deepika, a caring mom, a loving wife and an affectionate daughter, left this world to her heavenly abode on March 24th, 2022. Her pillar of support, the ever-optimistic husband, was with her until her last breath, who still couldn’t come to terms that she was not around anymore. Now, he is left alone with their daughter, memories of togetherness and recurrence of the very last word she uttered “PRABHU.”

 

Deepika and Prabha are great souls with compassionate hearts, helping everyone in their life journey. In this time of sorrow, the only way to extend our support to the grieving family is by helping to make the endless hospital bills and other financial strains the least of their worries. Though it will take time for hearts to heal and rebuild a life, we humbly seek friends and well-wishers to participate in this fundraising.
