Hi everyone! My name is Paula Carvalho, and I’m an aerial hoop athlete. After winning first place at the Brazilian Nationals this year, I’ve been selected to represent my home country at two World Championships — one in Italy and another in Costa Rica! I’m beyond excited, but I need your help to make this dream a reality
Why We Need Your Help
Unfortunately, as an independent athlete, I don’t have sponsorship yet, and all costs (flights, lodging, registration fees, costume, equipment, etc) are entirely out-of-pocket. Competing in both championships would cost around $4,156, which is difficult to cover on my own.
How You Can Help
Your support, no matter the amount, will directly help cover:
✈️ Travel and accommodation costs
️ Athlete registration and federation fees
Costume and equipment expenses
To give a clearer idea of how your contribution will help, here’s a breakdown of my estimated expenses for both competitions:
Airfare/Train tickets $1,962 (Italy) and $698 (Costa Rica)
Accommodation $361 (Italy) and $285 (Costa Rica)
Registration Fees $125 (Italy) and $204 (Costa Rica)
Official Uniform $66 (Italy) and $20 (Costa Rica)
Athlete Insurance $49 (Italy) and $49 (Costa Rica)
Official photo/video $106 (Italy) and $60 (Costa Rica)
Costumes $106 (Italy) and $65 (Costa Rica)
Total Italy: $2,775
Total Costa Rica: $1,381
Combined total: $4,156
Every contribution helps make this journey towards the World Championship possible!
