Help Pat keep his pride and joy

Hi, my name is David, and I am raising funds to help my friend Pat keep his pride and joy.

Pat contracted a bacteria in his right leg, resulting in large blood blisters and being rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, this bacteria was aggressive and rapidly moving up his leg. Within 45 minutes, the doctors decided that they had to amputate to save his life and prevent it from entering his heart and lungs.

He was in ICU for a few months and then moved to the surgical wards to start closing up his wound with the plastic surgeons, start physio and begin his road to recovery. The road is long, and he was sent on a trip to Brisbane to perform a few further surgeries with the top plastic surgeon in Queensland. He has remained cheerful and upbeat during this ordeal, but unfortunately, the help required sometimes isn't there.

He is now almost ready to leave the sub-acute care facility and resume his life, but he will lose his Toyota Hilux without an income. His car is crucial to his ability to live independently and is his pride and joy. All funds raised will go to helping him keep his car, and anything above will be put towards other living aids such as wheelchairs and modifications required.
