Please Help Rebuild a Home for Our Local Pastor. Located in Belton, Texas. The 80 to 100mph damaging winds hit their home on May 27, 2025 destroying their home, and portions of the property.
For nearly 20 years, Pastor Joe Washburn and his wife Barbara Washburn have faithfully served our community. Since founding their church in 2005, they’ve been present through every season of life—praying with the hurting, baptizing children and adults, officiating weddings, and standing beside families at funerals. They’ve never asked for much—just the chance to serve.
They gave up a very successful business, a big home, and large incomes to do the work of the Lord. 9 years ago they gave it all up and downsized living in their single wide trailer preferring to help people and strengthening not only one church but many leaders and churches. They never ask for much, and have given all they have to the work of the Lord, they don’t just preach it but are willing to do it. They were content in their trailer but now need to move for health purposes. They gave up their wants, their ambitions, their business, and their home to help people.
And this is an opportunity for people to help them in their time of need.
A devastating storm recently destroyed Pastor Joe Washburn and Barbara Washburn’s property and the single-wide trailer that served as their home. Damaging wind ripped off the roof, rain soaked the interior, and ongoing flooding has eroded the very foundation the trailer sits on. The trailer is now unlivable and likely to be condemned. Even if repaired, mold and structural damage present serious health risks.
Right now, they are living in temporary housing as they try to rebuild their lives.
We are asking for your support to help lay a new, solid foundation and build a modest parsonage on higher, safer ground for Pastor Joe Washburn and his wife Barbara Washburn—who have given up everything to serve others. With their own health challenges and limited resources, they need a permanent, safe, and accessible place to call home.
This isn’t just about rebuilding a house. It’s about honoring the years of service, sacrifice, and love poured into this community. It’s about giving back to someone who has been there for so many.
Our goal is to raise $150,000 toward building a simple but secure home that will last.
If the Lord lays it on your heart, please consider donating and sharing. Every gift—large or small—brings us closer to giving back to someone who has given so much.
Thank you and God bless you for helping us care for our pastor and his wife. ***Please share this in our effort to reach this goal. ***Thank you so much and God bless you ❤❤❤❤
