Help our wheelchair soccer team get to nationals!

Hello,

My name is Gabe Trujillo and I am the team captain of the Arizona Heat Power Soccer team with Arizona Disabled Sports. I've been playing this sport for nearly 20 years and have enjoyed every minute of it.

As you can imagine, the yearly costs of running the team can be pretty high. From traveling to tournaments to purchasing wheelchair parts and equipment, the expenses can be insurmountable sometimes. And many of our athletes do not have the financial means to fully participate in the sport.

AZDS provides a lot of support both with time and money, but we still need additional support to eliminate any financial burden from the athletes.

Every year, my family hosts a fundraising golf tournament to help offset the team's travel costs, but we are unable to this year. My dad and team head coach was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer and is currently undergoing treatment, which will keep us from hosting this year’s tournament.

Since we can’t have the tournament, I created this GoFundMe to help raise money for our team. All of the money raised will go towards purchasing new equipment and jerseys and other essentials for the team. It will also be used for expenses during our June trip to the National tournament in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
