Guy suffered two Strokes in May of 2016. He was given little to no chance of ever recovering, and was destined to live out the remainder of his life in a Long Term Care Facility. However, through God’s Healing Hand, countless hours of Rehab, and family support, he has since remarried, and with the help of the Walkaide he purchased in 2017, he went from a wheelchair to walking up to 5 kilometers a day. The Walkaide is the first thing Guy puts on in the morning after a shower, and the last thing he takes off at night. The Walkaide provides enough stability, that Guy has safely returned to some of his favourite pastimes such as hunting. Without his Walkaide, he can barely get around the house. The life expectancy of the Walkaide is 7 years, and it’s now in the 7th year. So replacing his Walkaide is very important for Guy to continue his day to day activities. Unfortunately Guy isn’t in the position to pay for this replacement.
