Help Us Give Owen and Faith the Safe Home they Deserve
This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write.
I’ve always believed in working hard and providing for my family. Asking for help doesn’t come naturally to me, but sometimes life puts you in a position where you have to set your pride aside and do what’s best for the people you love.
Our son, Owen, is autistic, and our current living environment has become increasingly difficult for him. The noise, stress, and surroundings have made everyday life a constant challenge. As parents, watching your child struggle when you know a different environment could make such a positive difference is heartbreaking.
More than anything, we want to give Owen a home where he can feel safe, calm, and comfortable—a place where he can simply be himself. We also want our daughter, Faith, to have a peaceful home where she can grow up feeling secure. A new home would mean more than just a change of address. It would mean stability, peace, and hope for our entire family.
This year has also brought unexpected financial challenges. I suffered a foot injury that kept me out of work for an extended period while I recovered. Losing that income put us behind, and although I’m back to work now and continue working hard every day, catching up has been incredibly difficult. We’re doing everything we can, but the costs of moving into a new home—including the security deposit, first month’s rent, moving expenses, and utility deposits—are simply more than we can manage on our own right now.
Please know that this fundraiser isn’t because we don’t want to work or aren’t trying. We work hard for everything we have, and asking for help is something we never imagined we’d have to do. But if it means giving our children a safer and more peaceful place to call home, then it’s worth putting our pride aside.
Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward helping our family move into a home where Owen and Faith can thrive. And if you’re unable to donate, sharing our story with others would mean just as much.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking the time to read our story. Your generosity, prayers, encouragement, and support mean more than words can express. Thank you for helping us take one step closer to giving our children the safe, stable home they deserve.
With gratitude,
Nathan, Penny, Owen & Faith
