Help Nikki Rebuild After Illness & Care For Adalyn

Nikki spent 205 days in the hospital, undergoing 5 separate surgeries to save her foot after a merciless staph infection took hold. The surgeries and treatments were successful in that she did not have to undergo an amputation, but she spent three months attached to a wound vac that literally regrew the tissue of her foot, followed by months of intensive physical therapy in order to walk again. She returned home in mid-May, though she could not climb the steps to the second floor of her home.

Due to the length of her hospitalization, Nikki has not been able to continue the freelance work that had been providing for her household - herself, her sister, and her beloved niece Adalyn, who has significant special needs as well. Nikki's savings and all other sources of income have been depleted, to the point where she cannot afford gas for the car to pick up critical medications, which are also financially out of reach. Friends have been having groceries delivered so that Nikki can make sure Adalyn is fed and cared for.

Nikki is doing the work to find employment and access resources. But she and Adalyn are in need now. Please help them out of the desperate position Nikki's illness and recovery have left them in. Nikki needs help to get even on outstanding bills, cover the costs of medications and PT, and provide groceries and other essentials for her whole household, particularly Adalyn.
