I'm reaching out to ask for support for M31 boxing academy.

June last year partington council kicked us out of the boxing gym to do refurbishments although the gym was in a very fit state and in our opinion did not need this, we was promised else where to train, and all the boxing equipment would be put safely in storage and we would be back in our gym within 3 months.

Fast forward it's been one hell of a stormy ride, we got none of the help they stated they would give, we have been to the local press, had a number of different meetings with local authorities and the community to still be in the same position, this has massively taken a toll on Gary booths mental health as he lives for the boxing game and training his kids/adults it's his life, and over the past year he's slowly watched everything he's worked hard for all these years fall apart.

The renovations have taken a lot longer then they promised, ( 12 months to be exact ) and we are now finally getting the gym back in 4 weeks time.

The problem we face is we are starting again from scratch, all the equipment has been damaged due to being stored outside in Gary's back garden and having a heavy winter, we have lost all of our boxing team during this period, Gary remains with only 3 seniors left including myself and only a handful of children. There has been no income whatsoever for the past 12 months. We need to build the established gym it once was back up and to do this without any sort of funding is impossible.

Gary has done everything for his boxers to try and keep them training, we have trained at a number of different gyms, we have trained in carparks the list is endless but with constant cancellation and gyms only being able to accommodate on certain days we have not been able to continue established.

It's been a living nightmare for not only the coach but us boxers, we are hoping to start competing again when the season starts in September but again without the support to get the gym back up and running, I fear it may not be possible.

We are in desperate need to raise funds to buy all new equipment and other things needed to get the gym back up and running, we are doing a number of different events to try and raise these funds starting of with a sponsored walk.
