It's hard to be a mom, when I don't have the resources to help, and beyond humbling to ask, but my son needs help, and quickly. I don't know where else to turn. Even quicker, some of our friends have used that "instant" transfer method that rhymes with belle.

By Friday, he will owe 2 months' rent ($3900- immediate need). He is looking for a job, while driving a car that is not dependable.

My son, Nick, is a single dad with a 6-year-old, Army Reserves, and the nicest person you'll know . He lost his job right after they moved (in the Frisco area) and has now fallen behind in rent. We are thanking God his church paid a portion of the electric bill. The rest, $260, I put on a credit card (which I really couldn't afford, but I couldnt have them without power). We have looked into assistance from many agencies -still nothing.

Previously, he was employed as a civilian in an administrative position on the Army base in Fort Worth. With recent Army changes, his job was discontinued, but he found work through a temp agency close to home, assembling drones. Suddenly, that temporary job ended with no advance notice.

He is struggling to find employment, having put in many job applications,(including work from home) but nothing yet. His Army MOS was working on the outer part of helicopters. He is Very tech savvy, having helped me with computer issues, setting up tv, even helped put brakes on my car.

He also does photography on the side, which has helped buy groceries. (Anyone need family photos? He is really very talented.)

He owes September rent ($1945) and will add to that this week, owing October rent ($1945) too.

After driving back and forth from the Frisco area to his Army job in Fort Worth for a few years, his car is acting up. He he was told by the Infinity dealership, that the problem was in the timing- front of the engine, and it would take probably around 14 hours of labor plus parts (timing chain was $250), estimating $3000 or more . However, they have to take apart the whole front of the engine apart, to know for certain and that costs $200 even to look. He would love to be able to fix it himself, but doesn't have the tools or equipment and has to take care of his 1st grader, whom he takes back & forth to school.

Please pray for him and me. Heaven knows I try not to worry.

So, The amounts are rent, $2900 for rent, $260 for electric, $3000 for auto repair (or another car!). This total $6,160 (plus whatever portion Go Fund Me charges).
