Hello everyone, my name is Mohammed and I am posting a fundraiser on behalf of my uncle, Munir, and family in Gaza. Here’s what my uncle has to say about the genocide happening and the struggles they are facing:
My name is Munir Mohammed from Gaza, I am 31 years old coming to you with a heavy heart seeking help.
I write to you this message for a fundraiser to help in any way that you can as life has been nothing but despair and depression since the start of the genocide back in October 2023.
My family’s house, once located in Gaza City, was destroyed by the Israeli occupation after we were forced to flee to the southern areas according to military personnel.
The apartment unit I built on top of my father’s home after eight and a half years has crumbled into nothing. This was the house I had built for my future in Gaza City where I thought I would spend the rest of my life.
The house I had built, with my own two hands, is now gone alongside everything else me and my family once had.
Currently, I have been living in a tent in a refugee camp in Rafah with my elderly father and other family members for more than a hundred days where we suffer from starvation, lack of security and the lack of life.
I have came to the harsh reality, realizing that we had nothing left for us in Gaza as the bombardment continues to worsen and more of our beautiful country gets destroyed. I ask you all, to have some compassion and think about the life we have here. Your donations will cover the cost of living here since everyday necessities and food are now unattainable with the limited money we have.
I hope that receiving my message is important to you and change can happen for the Palestinians in need, God bless you all.
