Help Mother Rebuild after losing everything in Eaton Fire
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Kahnai Jackson. I am a 27 year old mother of two beautiful children. We were renting a room in Altadena when the Eaton Fire took everything we owned.
While there have been a lot of resources made available to survivors of the fire—there have not been housing and financial resources for people like me who were renting rooms. We have slipped through the crack. Many people like myself were not on a lease—but we were residents in Altadena.
Because I didn’t have paperwork saying I was a homeowner or was renting an apartment, I haven’t been able to get much help.
Because of this, I have been living in a motel room with my kids since January 8, 2025.
I have been trying to go to school and pay $800 a week to keep my kids and I housed in a motel room —but I need help. We were already struggling before the fire and now to loose everything including our housing has really hurt us.
This will help us stay off the streets and get into a new home
I just want to provide a better life for my kids, so if you could find it in your heart to help, I would really appreciate it. Thank you. Have a blessed day.
