My name is Montaser Bashir, a 22-year-old from Gaza. I once had dreams of becoming an engineer, but the ongoing conflict shattered my future and stole my opportunities for a dignified life. I was forced to abandon my university studies, and with them, my aspirations. The war crushed my hopes before they could even begin.
On October 7th, my family and I were displaced by the war. We fled from northern Gaza, moving through Nuseirat, Khan Younis, Rafah, and Deir al-Balah, until we found temporary refuge in Al-Zawayda camp. Now, eleven of us live together in a small tent, barely protected from the brutal heat of summer or the freezing cold of winter.
Our situation is desperate. Food is scarce, and we often rely on canned goods or, at times, nothing at all. Clean water is a luxury we no longer have, forcing us to resort to drinking seawater. Medical care is completely out of reach. My father suffers from hypertension, and my mother is ill, but they struggle without medication or treatment.
We are living in constant fear, clinging to fading hope. My family and I desperately need your help to survive this nightmare. Any support you can offer would be a lifeline—helping us secure food, water, shelter, and medical care.
Please consider extending a helping hand to my family during this dark time. Your kindness can restore what little hope remains for us.
Thank you for your compassion.
