Help Minka See Again: Support Her MRI

On or around June 22nd, our beloved cat Minka disappeared from our backyard and didn’t return until the 25th. At that time, she seemed to have what I thought was an URI and was immediately started on antibiotics. Unfortunately, about a week later, I noticed her pupils were dilated and she seemed to be blind.

We took her to the emergency vet the next morning where they did an exam, checked her blood pressure as well as her retina pressure and a full bloodwork panel, all of which were normal. We were then referred to an Ophthalmologist, who we luckily saw the next day. He was amazing and he also did an exam and an echoretinogram which was again normal, leaving him to believe that the acute onset of blindness was neurological.

We have been referred to a Neurologist for an MRI ($2500) and possible spinal tap to rule out a brain tumor, parasitic infection and or a viral infection. We have spent well over $1000 thus far and we need your help. Minka is only 2 years old and she deserves a chance at a healthy, happy life. Any assistance you can provide would be much appreciated.
