Help Mila Heal Her Broken Leg.

Hi, my name is Rose, and I’m fundraising for my sweet Pomeranian, Mila.

Eight weeks ago, Mila suffered a terrible accident when she fell out of her carrier and broke the two bones in her lower front leg. We rushed her to the ER vet, and keeping her in a splint, I couldn't afford to pay for her surgery immediately. Care Credit didn't cover for the whole surgery to be able to have done the surgery immediately, so I needed to wait and save some money before scheduling her surgery. But since a bit of time has passed, her leg still hasn’t healed at all; it's gotten worse. At her most recent vet visit, we were told that her bone has not mended and is now showing severe bone loss, a condition called atrophic nonunion This means her body isn’t healing the break, and things are actually getting worse. Her leg is unstable and painful. Now we’re facing two incredibly hard options:

Option 1: Attempt a complex surgery

This would involve removing the damaged bone, reconnecting the healthy parts, and using a bone graft to try to save her leg. But it comes with high risks; it may not work, and she could still need an amputation afterward.

Option 2: Amputation

If the surgery isn’t successful, or if we can’t afford it, Mila may lose her leg entirely. She’s only 1 and a half years old and full of life, so this is heartbreaking, and I'm in shock to have to consider amputating her leg.

Why I'm Asking for Help

We want to give Mila the best possible chance to keep her leg. She’s a tiny dog with a huge heart. She still tries to play, wags her tail, and curls up beside me with love and trust, even in pain.

The surgery, X-rays, possible amputation, and post-op care could cost us $3,000–$8,000, and I simply can’t do it alone. If you can donate even a little, or just share her story, you could help me save her leg and give her a happy, pain-free life again.
