Help Mike Mercer Fight Stage 4 Colorectal Cancer

I am Mike Mercer's daughter, Kaitlyn Mercer. He is a proud son, father of four, and papa of nine crazy, goofy grandchildren. My dad is a full-time paramedic and a volunteer firefighter for the King City fire department. He has a big heart and would never let anyone go without - especially without a full belly. My favorite thing about him is that his love language is food. My dad is a special guy and hasn't always had the easiest life. He has worked hard for himself and his family over the decades and would give the shirt off his back for anyone who needed it.

Last fall, dad was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer at the young age of 49. I am only 29 and it feels far too early in our lives for this. He is undergoing chemo right now and has completed seven rounds as of 3/21/23. In the early chemo rounds, his cancer markers were still going up but have now begun going down. We continue hoping and praying for good news as he will be getting scanned again within the next couple of weeks to see how the multiple cancer spots on his liver are looking.

Dad is still working full-time and insists that he does not want financial assistance. However, his chemo weeks are becoming increasingly more painful, exhausting, and quite frankly, debilitating for him.
