Michael is a devoted father, a loving friend, and a bright light in our community. He has two daughters, including my younger sister who has autism, and he works tirelessly to provide for our family and support our education. He’s the kind of person who makes everyone feel welcome, and many people see him as a second dad because of how much he cares for others.

Right now, our family is facing a difficult and urgent situation. Due to a mistake made by his previous lawyer, my dad is at risk of deportation. We had to find a new lawyer to help him apply for a visa card instead of a work permit, and he must secure this visa by January—well before his court date in March 2026. If we can’t cover the legal fees and application costs in time, my dad could be sent back to Mexico, separating our family and leaving us in a very uncertain position.

If my dad is deported, I would have to become the head of our household and leave my studies to care for my sister, or we might have to send my sister with him to Mexico. This is a future we are desperate to avoid. Every donation will go directly toward legal fees, lawyer expenses, and the visa application process.
