My name is Michael Fanone. On January 6th, 2021, I put my life on the line defending the Capitol from an armed mob.
Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to speaking out against the growing threats to our democracy, authoritarianism, and political violence.
Those threats are no longer abstract. President Trump has already sent National Guard troops into Los Angeles and Washington, DC—a dangerous escalation that puts communities directly in the crosshairs of authoritarian control.
And now, he’s preparing to send them into more cities like Chicago and Baltimore.
At the same time, political violence in America is on the rise. It’s more important than ever that survivors of that violence—like myself—can reach people where they live, before it’s too late.
My voice only matters if I can be there in person: standing with people, listening to them, and reminding them that they are not alone.
But here’s the truth: many of the communities that most need to hear my message cannot afford the cost of bringing me there.
That’s why I’m asking for your help.
This fund will make it possible. With your support, I will travel to places like Chicago and beyond—to meet people on the ground and confront these threats together.
Your contributions will cover expenses like travel, lodging, and the security necessary to keep me safe while on the road.
This isn’t about politics. It’s about showing up. Together, we can remind people across this country that democracy is worth fighting for.
Your donation ensures I can continue this work independently, reaching communities who would otherwise never hear my story or this message in person.
I’ve never backed down from a fight for our country—and I don’t intend to now.
How You Can Help:
• Donate whatever you can. Every contribution makes it possible for me to travel to the next city.
• Share this campaign with friends, family, and on social media.
• Stand with me in ensuring our democracy is defended where it matters most: on the ground, face to face, with the people living through it.
Thank you for helping me meet this moment.
