Help Me Through the Trial of My Soulmate's Murder

On August 14th, 2022 my entire life was changed when my soulmate and life partner, Adam Simjee, was shot and killed in front of me after we tried to help a woman faking car trouble.

The woman who fired the gun is facing a guilty plea of 35 years in federal prison. However, the “mastermind” behind the plan that cost me the love of my life is going to court on Monday, September 25th. I have to be there as a witness for the entire trial and as such, I will miss an entire week of work and school. Furthermore, the government isn't able to fully cover all of my expenses related to the trial such as lost wages, travel, food, and additional needed therapy sessions.

Both emotionally and financially things have been really hard for me this past year. The current state of the economy (ex: $8 for a jar of mayonnaise) makes it EXTREMELY difficult to get by without even factoring in how hard it can be to get out of bed some days. I’ve never had to financially support myself completely on my own and I never thought I would need to because Adam and I were supposed to be together for the rest of both of our lives- not just to the end of his. Additionally, I’m having to relive everything again by seeing these criminals' faces and listening to my screams for help on the 911 call I made. This has ALREADY had an impact on me going to work and school and the trial hasn’t even started yet, so I know I have a long road ahead of me.
