Urgent Help Needed: Rebuilding My Education Dreams After a $9,000 Scam

My name is Dipesh Tripathi, and I came to Australia just seven months ago with big dreams of pursuing higher education. I’ve been working hard under the sun as a gardener for over months, saving every dollar I could to pay for my university tuition. Every bit of my savings— $9,000—was meant to cover my tuition fees, which are already past due.

Unfortunately, I was the victim of a devastating scam that has completely shattered my plans. It is not that I am gambling and lost all the money in casino. I was making an investment to help my mother to give less financial burden and help her. Wanting to grow my savings and make less financial burden for my mother, I invested my hard-earned money in cryptocurrency. I sold my USDT (a digital currency) using a P2P (peer-to-peer) method, trusting someone who seemed legitimate. The scammer tricked me by sending a fake email that looked identical to an official platform message, claiming that the payment was complete. Under pressure and not realizing the deception, I released my USDT.

The scammer didn’t stop there. Posing as customer support through a fake Telegram link, they tried to manipulate me further, asking for more money to unlock my funds. It was only after contacting the real customer support of the platform that I realized I had been scammed. Though the platform froze the scammer’s account, it was too late—he had already withdrawn all my money.

I’ve reported the incident to both the platform and the cybercrime department, but there’s little hope of recovering my savings. Now, I’m left with no way to pay my tuition fees, and my single mother, earning a basic salary back home, cannot help me financially.
