Hi everyone! My name is Kayla, and I recently graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with my bachelor’s degree. This fall, I took a huge leap and moved to Trikala, Greece, to begin my Master’s in Sport Psychology at the University of Thessaly. I’ll be studying here for two years, with the chance to spend one semester abroad in either Germany or France.
Growing up as a military brat, I moved all over the world. Constantly adjusting to new environments taught me resilience and empathy, and it also sparked my passion for helping others do the same. That’s a big part of why I chose sport psychology. My dream is to work with athletes who travel overseas to compete, helping them manage the mental and emotional challenges that come with moving to a new country and performing under pressure.
This opportunity to study abroad means everything to me. It’s the first big step toward my goal of supporting international athletes and promoting mental health in sports.
Unfortunately because I’m studying outside of the U.S., I can’t use my Chapter 35 VA education benefits to cover my tuition or housing. I’m asking for help to make this dream possible. Your donations will go directly toward my basic living expenses and academic materials
Every bit of support helps me get closer to focusing on what really matters my studies, my growth, and my goal of making a difference in the lives of athletes around the world.
This journey means so much to me, and I’m incredibly grateful for anyone who’s willing to support it. Whether it’s a donation, a share, or just a few kind words of encouragement.
Thank you for believing in me!
