Hi beautiful people of this world,
I got news a week ago that my mom is very ill. She needs urgent care and I must go to my home country (can not say its name here for security purposes) to be with her and care for her.
My mom, her name is Yulia, whom I haven't seen in 4 years because I am an immigrant in the US without green card - has abnormally large tumors in her womb that were already once removed 5 years ago and now grew back with scary speed in last few months. They are now size if she was 3 months pregnant. She now has extreme bleeding which keeps her tied to home, she can not even walk. She is going to have a surgery of removing her uterus. My mom has very poor health, on top of other illnesses, a lifelong history of severe asthma. This surgery is very dangerous for her. If everything goes well she will not be able to walk for 2 months and will need a lot of care, she doesn't have anyone to provide the care to her but me. Due to the dangers of the surgery I must make my way to my home country ASAP, I do know how I would live if her condition was to worsen or something was to happen when I'm not there with her.
My mom's ex boyfriend beat her severely for many hours on July 2nd, she had to flee and her condition worsened afterwards. We do not have any other family members that could help, I am her only child and my grandparents passed away a few years ago.
Now there is a war in my homecountry, there are no direct flights. To fly there through Turkey costs $3000 roundtrip. Going solo to the country that is in war is a risk on its own.
Because I do not have a green card, traveling there is a great risk that I might lose my life in the US and will never be let back in. The only form that would give me a chance of being let back in is "Emergency Travel Form" which costs $600 to apply. Even with this form upon reentry to the US I can be refused.
My mom took out a $10000 loan for her surgery that she will not be able to repay any time soon. I am not currently employed either so I am not able to help with the loan myself. We need help paying it at least partially.
We will need funds for the 2-3 months of her recovery period, for medical care, rent, nourishment, and bills. It is not expensive in my hometown, but will cost around $2000 if we don't need extra medical care.
She is going in to surgery in 10 days and It takes about 2 weeks to complete the Emergency Travel Form after after payment. I need funds ASAP to start the process with immigration form and get the tickets.
I am attaching her medical report - translated to English and last photo she sent of herself.
If you are able to contribute or know someone who would be able to donate a larger amount that is greatly appreciated.
Much love to all,
Alisa and Yulia
