Help Me Get to the 2025 IPL World Championships in Argentina

Hi, my name is Malcolm Andy, and I’m honored to have earned an invitation to compete at the 2025 IPL World Powerlifting Championships in Argentina, taking place October 30th through November 3rd.

Powerlifting saved my life.

On October 21st, 2021, I suffered a heart attack. I weighed 260 pounds, had high blood pressure, diabetes, and high cholesterol, all while smoking 2 packs of cigarettes a day. That day became a turning point—the moment I realized something had to change.

I changed my diet and started working out. I tried different approaches and programs. Through trial and error, I was successful in losing weight, but I wasn’t as strong as I wanted to be, and I didn’t have much muscle.

Then in 2024, I discovered powerlifting, and it gave me the discipline, focus, and purpose I’d been searching for. Through relentless training and a complete lifestyle overhaul, I took control of my health and started a new chapter.

In just my first year of competing, I won my first local meet and went on to win two gold medals at the 2025 USPA National Championships just this past July.

Now, I’ve earned the incredible opportunity to represent The United States at the IPL World Championships and compete against some of the best lifters in the world.

But I need your help to make it there.
