Help me and my family urgently survive starvation in Gaza!

Hello everyone!

My name is Mohamoud Fawzy. I am 28 years old, a Palestinian photographer, and I studied media and press at university. Today, I reach out to you with a plea and a heavy heart, as the place I once called home has been damaged by circumstances that are happening now in Gaza. And now my family and I are displaced for the 10th time in a tent in Al-Mawasi, facing death day by day!

Since October 7th, the continuous bombings in Gaza have left us homeless, and my family (me, my parents, brother, and sister) has been displaced 10 times already, trying to run away temporarily from the ongoing starvation and death, and its smell has filled every corner and every street in Gaza for more than 600 days!

Currently, we are living in a tent of plastic and textiles in the Al-Mawasi area under extremely inhumane conditions and hot weather, with a lack of all basic human rights such as food, treatment, electricity, clean water, safety, and a proper toilet. And no words could describe how life in a tent is with such hot weather!

Nearly two years have been full of fear, horror, and anxiety about the fate of our lives!. I have been sharing our horrible conditions and moments day by day for months on my Instagram for my friends from all over the world to witness what is happening to us and how many times we have survived inevitable death.

This nightmare has lasted too long, which has put our mental health and lives in severe danger and hopelessness. We have reached a point where there is no more hope for us here in Gaza; we are just waiting to die, and day by day we get closer to our fate!

Unfortunately, there is no way now to leave Gaza, as the Rafah crossing has been destroyed and the whole city, and this crossing was the only hope for us to leave. Now we have been living for months under severe starvation and horrible food prices that make survival in these conditions unlikely. We here depend on what available food, such as vegetables (grown in what's left of Gaza lands but limited due to the massive destruction), canned food, and flour. One bag of flour (25 kg) costs 700-800 US dollars, one kilo of tomatoes costs $20, one kilo of onions costs $35, one kilo of pepper costs $25, one kilo of eggplant costs $20, and one liter of oil costs $40. We have never been in such conditions, as we used to live the whole month on $300-400 before this nightmare!!!

Sadly, our house was damaged during this nightmare, and all my relatives houses were demolished, and at the current time we don't know anything about the fate of our damaged house, as they are demolishing massive areas east of Khan Yunis, where my damaged home is, and we lost all means and money, and now we are facing our fate in this tent under these horrible conditions of poverty, hot weather, lack of clean water, no medicine, not enough food, limited electricity, no hospitals, and no infrastructure.

So please help me and my family (my parents, brother, and sister) to be able to survive these horrible food prices and this starvation. I sincerely appreciate any donation, no matter how small, that will surely make a significant contribution to alleviating our suffering and saving our lives by affording these food prices and life expenses, buying our needs, and rebuilding our lives.
