Help Mary Ann with Colon Cancer Expenses

Hello Friends & Family,
We are reaching out to raise funds for our beloved sister-in-law Mary Ann Doyle Grybowski. Mary Ann grew up in River Edge, NJ, attended St. Peter’s Elementary School and graduated from River Dell High School, just like our second brother John. But it wasn’t until years later that the two met at a Fourth of of July BBQ hosted by mutual friends in 1991. There was an instant attraction and they wed the spring of 1993. Mary Ann and John currently reside in Orange County, NY with their dog Maddie and cat Emma.
This past September, Mary Ann was rushed to the emergency room in excruciating pain. Exploratory surgery detected an infected mass on her colon, but the hospital was not equipped to remove it, only treat the infection. Mary Ann was transported to Westchester Medical Center in New York, where a team of oncologists reviewed her case. Surgery was recommended to remove the mass. She went home for a month to rest and get stronger waiting for the next surgery.
In October, the mass and several lymph nodes were removed by an oncology surgeon; he noted that it was the largest tumor he had ever operated on. Mary Ann spent the next week in the hospital until she was able to be released home. The biopsy of the mass determined that Mary Ann has stage 3c colon cancer.
All this while, her husband (our brother) John, has been at her side, visiting her every day in the hospital and taking care of her at home along with visiting nurses.
This month, December, Mary Ann starts a new journey- chemotherapy infusions every 3 weeks and daily medication taken at home.
During her treatment, Mary Ann has been unable to work due to her condition. She is on short-term disability from Oradell Animal Hospital in Paramus where she is employed as a Referral Coordinator. Mary Ann is a loving and compassionate person and has worked in animal care for many years.
As Mary Ann was recovering from her first surgery, her husband John was laid off from his job due to corporate downsizing/restructuring. This presents an additional financial hardship for the two of them, however, it has allowed John to spend more time with Mary Ann and be her primary caregiver.
We, the family of Mary Ann Doyle Grybowski, humbly seek financial help to assist Mary Ann and John cover past and future expenses related to Mary Ann's colon cancer treatment. Any amount, would be greatly appreciated. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this post.
Thanks for your time reading this, your kindness and your generosity.
