Help Madison Spelman Recover

Madison was recently involved in a traumatic and tragic accident, forever changing her life. An incident involving a table saw caused Madison to lose her index and middle finger on her left hand with her ring finger successfully reattached- but there is still room for uncertainty. After spending numerous days in the ICU at Yale in New Haven, she is now comfortably healing in her home with her supportive boyfriend, two dogs, and two cats, but she has a long road of recovery ahead of her. Maddie has always been an amazing friend, coworker, sister, aunt, partner- the list goes on; doing things and being there for others without a second thought. It is now time for us as a community to come together to help support Maddie during this difficult time. Being an extremely resilient and strong person, Madison will come out of this stronger than ever, but the medical bills she will soon face will be hard on even the toughest of people. It’s presumed Maddie will be out of work for quite some time to recover, attend countless and various doctors appointments, get stronger, and fully heal. The end goal is to have a functioning left hand with prosthetics that Maddie can learn to use so that she may function and live as normal life as possible. It is also her goal to go forth and continue her job that she loves at Dog Watch Cafe- a devoted employee since 2018.
