My name is Luis Malave and I’m currently homeless. I have been fighting for the last year to get housing. I’ve been filling out CAN assessments, calling 211, visiting shelters, talking to housing providers, landlords, etc. This has only resulted in broken promises and disappointment. In addition, I have been advocating for myself and other homeless people, using social media to bring awareness to these gaps in the system and tagging politicians, service providers, and others to hold them accountable.

On Sunday 1/4 I will no longer have a room at a hotel due to the Severe Cold Weather Protocol being lifted. I am physically disabled and cannot work, otherwise I would. I am trying to raise some money to help with a deposit on an apartment, as some apartments don't accept money from vouchers, deposit assistance, or other programs. Anything you can give helps, thank you!
