Hello, my name is Emily and I set this fundraiser up to help a very special man and teacher whom taught Grade 4 at Las Palmas Elementary School for many years. After 10 years I still remember how amazing Mr.Pulido was with every single one of my classmates. I had run into him while eating lunch and found out he had been struggling financially. He is homeless as of right now and is living in his truck. I told him I remembered him and we both broke down in tears. He gifted my nephew and I a pair of beautiful drumsticks and vintage Spanish Flashcards for lighting up his day. We exchanged many words of encouragement and hugs and I gave him every last dollar in cash I had. He has a heart of gold and a passion for teaching. I want to help him in the best way I can to make sure he gets out of this bad situation he is in. No teacher or human being deserves to fall under such harsh times. He taught so many children the fundamentals of english and math and without him I don’t think I’d be in College today. I hope this reaches the hearts of those whom have had a special school teacher in their life or any former students of his. He has an immense passion for music as well and it’s what has kept him going all this time. I have plenty of hope and faith that the community that will provide support. Anything helps and words of encouragement are also appreciated. Teachers are amazing. He deserves the world.
