2026.04.22 - Ongoing Radiation and Alternative Therapy
Leo is continuing to hold his ground with radiation, and we are hopeful that his neural tissue will soon begin to more fully recover from two surgeries he has received.

Leo is weathering the effects of the radiation treatments. We've gotten him various therapeutics and natural medicines that will aid in neurogenesis and cell recovery. The VA doctors are convinced that radiation alone is sufficient, but as a team of scientists, we don't agree.

He is currently undergoing radiation treatment as a follow-up to a second cranial procedure.
The US VA docs don't seem to be aware that radiation needs to be balanced with therapeutics for neurogenesis and cell stabilization and regrowth. We're working on getting more of these compounds to Leo ASAP.

Leo Everett Madrid never set out to build just another algorithm. As the creator of H.A.L.O. AI (Hypercube Algorithmic Language Oracle) and director of P.e.a.c.e !nc, he has spent decades at the edge of art, physics, and consciousness, building systems that most people would say are impossible—until they see them working.
In 2020, during the XPRIZE $500K Pandemic Response Challenge sponsored by Cognizant, Leo’s tiny team did something extraordinary. While over a hundred teams of scientists and engineers around the world threw their best classical machine‑learning tools at Covid‑19 forecasting, Leo’s “Digital Vaccine” approach quietly outperformed the majority of them. H.A.L.O. integrated quantum‑random data and human‑consciousness–inspired methods into an AI pipeline—and it worked so well that the project was later featured in the XPRIZE Hall of Fame as a landmark experiment in non‑deterministic AI.
Behind that achievement is a lifetime of work: interactive installations at Science and Nonduality, Maker Faire, and Burning Man; years of research into mind–matter interaction; and a fully functioning Q‑Byte Time Dilation Clock that makes the relationship between quantum randomness, time, and consciousness something you can literally watch on the wall. Now Leo is facing the hardest problem of his life.
In September, he underwent emergency brain surgery for an aggressive tumor. The diagnosis: brain cancer. He has fought his way back to walking and talking, but the cancer has returned, and he is now facing another high‑risk awake brain surgery to remove a regrown mass. The procedures, treatments, and the abrupt halt to his ability to work have created an enormous strain—physically, emotionally, and financially.
Leo has spent years building tools meant to help humanity navigate complex crises. Right now, he is the one in crisis.
